ABOUT US - Your Webmaster....

I started out as a BMX ( Bicycle Motor Cross ) rider.  Mostly a few friends and I charged
around the town of Davis, CA.   I enjoyed the dirt, building jumps then to ramps and those
killer hills off the back side of a small dam off the University Campus - Putah Creek.

Yes, I've broken some bones, almost busted my tail bone ( damn that hurt ) but it was
worth it !   - My brother still laughs at the time I took some air off this dirt jump behind a
grocery store ( empty field - when there was still open space )...  I hit the jump... my forks
broke... I was really air-borne...  All I had was the handle bars in my hands, the bike fell
to the ground, the front tire and forks crashing below me... Man !  That sucked, but I always came back for more...  I knew that I had to have a real bike - something with power and strength !  ...My parents said NO to getting a motorcycle, guess that was because I was a die hard rider and that I would probably kill myself if I got one...

It was not until I got out on my own that I bought my first bike.  It was a Harley-Davidson
Dyana-Glyde Super Sport.  I was living in Iowa at the time -  I really wanted to get a dirt bike or one of those crazy street bikes.  However it was more practicle at the time to have a road bike and I enjoyed it for some time.   At the time my wife had a small Honda... we did some touring but never made it to South Dakota for the Sturgis Falls Bike Festival....
I wish I could have made it there before I sold the bike...

Today I ride a Suzuki DR 650  Street / Dirt bike.  It handles great.  I don't tear up the dirt like I would have when I was younger..... But the more I ride the more risks I seem to take, which is not always good - since I ride alone and ride some rocky trails, far from the main
roads ...and no cell service.  ..but you have to have some fun... No Risk = You're not alive.
....Then again.... when your reaching 43 years of age your body doesn't bounce back...
I would have to say that in the dirt you can go where most 4x4's can't.... At least on some of the hidden trails that I have found - it's peaceful and no one to run you off the road.
Even though there are a few people out there on the Forest Service roads that don't have
much respect for anyone... it's much safer than in town.

---- By now you probably have noticed that I'm not much of a writer... but I never said that
I was....  I ride at least 3 to 5 times better than I can write.... and my specialty is in Images.
I'm an avid photographer, Image editor and currently working on Flash Banner Advertising Ad designs...  I've been working with computers for more than 20 years.
I've traveled all of the Western States - West of the Mississippi, down to Mexico a few times and drove to Alaska back in 1985.   I have a few websites going and am in the
process of working a home based business ( www.automaticbuilder.com/maximum )
-- I decided to build this site to promote the Motorcycle People, get people in touch and see what comes from it.   I don't expect to make much money from this, but that's not why I am doing this....  It's For You !   The motorcycle enthusiast.   If there is something that I can possibly do for you, and it's in my power... maybe I can help.   *** If You have any suggestions, please feel free to contact me.   * Need something posted - use the email and we'll go from there....  Time to rush out another page for this site.... It's already Saturday the 21st and I want to get this site up by tomorrow....   Thanks !
